Scripture & sources

Bible editions
The app uses stored editions, including the World English Bible, Douay–Rheims 1899, and the available Orthodox reading collection. Available books and numbering differ. The edition shown with a passage matters; a translation being available is not a claim of church endorsement.
Commentary and written guidance
The free chat combines original written guidance with stored passage commentary. Some commentary is labeled model-checked rather than human- or church-approved. It can still need correction. Read the displayed review information and the surrounding Bible text.
Bible-name reference pointers
Name and Scripture-reference pointers are adapted from the NEUU Bible Dictionary Dataset, © 2026 NEUU, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Underlying sources include Easton’s Bible Dictionary (1897) and Smith’s Bible Dictionary (1863), in the public domain.
The adaptation retains headings and locally resolvable Scripture references, merges alternate headings, and omits dictionary definitions. Reference pointers are a historical aid, not a verified alignment of every verse between translations. A shared name can refer to different people or places.
